Character's Name: Gilderoy Lockhart

Character's Gender: Male

Character's Appearance: Gilderoy is a lot shorter than everyone intially thinks, but because his nose is always in the air, people are easily fooled into thinking he is somewhat tall. Overall about 5' 9'. His body
is of course is great shape, he wouldn't have it any other way. Not really muscle,but a nice, defined shape. The ironic thing is, he's too lazy for the gym and too pretty to sweat. Gildy just watches what he eats and sticks to a diet involving the five food groups. His hair is a delightful golden blonde and falls just past his ears, although he wears up in a pony tail most of the time. He loves when women get jealous of his hair. Always dressed to impress, Gilderoy knows what colors coordinate with with his robes, and NEVER goes in public without checking the mirror. Multiple times. His smile is perfect and teeth are shining white He always knows when to smile, and who to smile at; which sometimes gets him in trouble. His mouth full of pearly whites is sometimes encased by a small gotee or 5 o'clock shadow; not because he doesnt shave, but because, I mean c'mon. It's fashionable.

Character's History: Since a young age, Gilderoy has been privledged with the finer things in life. Growing up, he seldomly played on the playground or joined the other children in games that every child should play like hide-n-seek or tag, but instead was found flashing his beautiful smile, or telling all the adults and teachers around how accomplished he was. His mother Hiedi, runs a gardening club in which her group of friends ritually sip apple martinis on weekends, a habit Gildy wants to be able take up. His father, Lowell, works at Gringotts as a top offical,Gilderoy was never interested to find out more than that. Being an only child, Gilderoy was spoiled as a child and was always wearing the best clothes and having the latest toys and contraptions. When Gilderoy was 11,just before he entered Hogwarts, his parents decided to have a ranch constructed for him at home. Complete with four, beautiful horses, Gilderoy spent most of his time riding. Hogwarts started and Gildy didnt want to leave his horses, in particular,Grenadine, and threw a fit or sorts to his parents. His parents, upon Gilderoy's request sent a letter to Headmaster Dumbledore asking permission to have Grenadine accompny him at Hogwarts. Dumbledore, naturally, denied this request and so Gildy was sent to Hogwarts without a friend. At Hogwarts, Gilderoy was sorted into Hufflepuff, which came as a relief to him because the common room coordinated well with his hair and belongings.

Both Hiedi and Lowell are still living and write to Gilderoy daily, making sure to shower him with praise and compliments of sorts. Gildy has aspirations to become famous, in whatever he does. Whether it is by becoming an Auror, explorer, model, or even just by being pretty, he wants it. And Gildy gets what he wants.

Character's Personality: Gilderoy is a really very peaceful soul, but his need to always give his opinion, blinds people of this. He means well, it's just that his superiority tends to blind him to what the actual solution is. Others would say "He's a condescending prat with the tendency to prattle" however, he feels he is being helpful. Gilderoy loves to sing, and is heavily interested in musical theatre and constantly wants people to pay him attention. Gilderoy loves school and takes pride in his school work, although most of it is not really his work. He finds anyone, including his mother and father to help him with his lessons, and will be sure to pay none of them credit. One quality that Gilderoy does possess however, is the quality of loyalty to his true friends. If he finds you to be pleasant enough to befriend you, it will stay that way for a long time. When it comes down to it, if you asked for Gilderoy's shirt off his back, he wouldn't give it to you. But he may throw you some change to buy one.
